AMRIZE
The new grinding unit at the Ste. Geneviève plant —the largest cement production facility in North America— marks a major milestone in Amrize (Holcim US) expansion strategy. With an investment of approximately $100 million, this project strengthens the supply of sustainable construction materials in the U.S. market.
At the heart of the project is the installation of a fifth state-of-the-art vertical cement mill (VRM). This new grinding line not only increases production capacity by more than 600,000 tons per year, but it is also designed to meet the highest standards of energy efficiency and decarbonization.
MARTÍNEZ SEGOVIA’s Contribution:
We delivered the detailed engineering for the construction of the new mill, including:
- Complete design of the building and the mill foundation on piles.
- Development of design bases and technical specifications.
- Comprehensive detailed engineering using BIM model LOD 400.
- Fabrication and assembly drawings for the steel structure.
- Reinforced concrete detailing.
This project reflects our commitment to technical excellence, innovation, and sustainability in the cement industry.
