Under the management of Civil Engineer Mr. Víctor Martínez Segovia, this professional team has worked together since 1970, first as part of the firm PROYECTA, S.A., later on in the firm PRESSING, S.A. and since 1986 in the present company MARTINEZ SEGOVIA, FERNANDEZ, PALLAS Y ASOCIADOS. INGENIERIA Y ARQUITECTURA, S.A.
The partners of the Company are at the same time technicians and professionals fully dedicated to the development of the projects. This technical team has been working successfully in a mutual understanding throughout these last years.
The Company and its technical team are fully independent from any banking, financial or industrial group, with a determined dedication to pure engineering and a great deal of experience in this field, and are free of any demands or private interests to communicate or share such experience.
The provision of engineering services for the development of concrete and steel building projects has been the main activity of the technical team who currently is part of the Company permanent staff.
The Company stands out in projects for the construction of cement factories, representing the Spanish referent in such sector thanks to its project development capability, innovation in the building process of new lines or existing lines modification and commitment to achieve the client's objectives, having carried out all type of projects in most of the Spanish cement factories, either integrated in the general basic design team (POLYSIUS, FLS, STHIM MAQUINARIA, IBAU, etc.) or directly commissioned by the owner.
Our engineering supply usually includes the development of the Basic Project in order to obtain the legal permits and licenses, preparation of the Bidding Documents for the request of prices to the pre-selected contractors and assistance in the selection of bids, and simultaneous completion of the Execution Project in order to formalize the Construction Contract and to start the works.
As industrial civil engineering share the same design philosophy with the rest of the heavy industries, it is worth highlighting that the Company has a significant presence in the iron and steel industry (it has recently designed the civil works for the replacement of the blast furnaces and the syntherisation in the ARCELOR factories in Asturias and has developed the complete Construction Project of the new steel factory of SIDERURGICA BALBOA in Badajoz), sugar (the Company usually collaborates with AZUCARERA EBRO, S.L.), flour (recent projects for the new HARICANA, HARIVASA and HARINERA VILAFRANQUINA factories), malting (INTERMALTA in Sevilla and DAMM in La Moravia), petrochemical (civil engineering subcontractor for the plants of Luján de Cuyo - YPF and Petropower Tacahuano - Chile), and energy (biodiesel factories in ACOR - Olmedo and solar thermal factories in ABENGOA - Sanlúcar La Mayor).
As engineering company specializing in structures, we have logically extended our scope to the project of remarkable buildings and general civil works as well.
As collaborators with prestigious architecture firms, Execution Projects for numerous remarkable buildings have been developed, with a high level of detailing and according to specifications, codes and standards of other countries, Architecture firms with highly recognition in structural designs. The range of buildings includes transport terminals, housing and office buildings, sport facilities, auditoriums, museums, etc.
In the civil works area this Company has a close relationship with route layout engineering firms for bridges and viaducts projects on roads and railways. We also develop complete projects directly for Public Administration and Construction Companies, either in the preparation for contests or in modified projects to optimize building solutions. Projects for port terminals, urbanism and environmental sectors have been carried out in this area as well.
